Flexographic Printing

Flexographic printing is a method of printing using a flexible printing plate that transfers ink by means of anilox rollers. The graphic part of the flexographic printing plate is raised, and when printing, the anilox rollers apply a certain thickness of ink layer evenly to the graphic part of the printing plate, and then under the action of the pressure of the impression cylinder, the ink layer of the graphic part is transferred to the surface of the substrate to form a clear graphic. The ink transfer mechanism of the flexographic printing press is usually a two-roller ink transfer mechanism.

Label flexo printing transfers ink uniformly to the substrate through the contact between anilox rollers and the printing plate, realizing high-quality and high-precision label printing. Environmentally Friendly

Flexographic printing technology adopts water-based inks and UV printing inks, so it is recognized as a green printing method. The advantages of non-toxic, non-hazardous, non-heavy metal, extremely low VOCs, and water-based inks that can be discharged directly into the environment, make the green image of flexographic printing deeply rooted in people’s hearts. The VOCs content of flexographic solvent-based inks and the number of solvents added during the printing process are significantly lower than those of gravure printing, and the adverse effects on the environment and health are relatively much lower. Flexographic platemaking is also continuing to abandon the traditional perchloroethylene + n-butanol solvent mixture, in favor of more environmentally friendly washing solvents and solvent-free platemaking methods (such as thermal platemaking and water washing platemaking).
